Wintery Songs 2025 GIGS are here!

Hello everyone - hard to believe we're approaching the longest night of the year already. Rejoice! Wintery Songs in Eleventy Part Harmony rides again! A reverent and irreverent take on holiday music, this show continues to thrill me. Super joy bomb to hang out with a passionnate band of women musicians who dig this whole holiday music re-interpretation project as much as I do. Hard to believe my esteemed co-conspirator and fellow passionnate harmonychanteuse, the luminous Rose Polenzani and I have been putting on this show for 15 years. We've just begun recording a second Wintery Songs album with a fantastic cast of wintery women musicians. Next Fall we'll run a crowdfunding campaign and release the thing just before the holidays 2026.

At the moment, however, tickets are running low for the Wintery Songs Natick show at TCAN 12/21 and as always it's good to get tickets asap for Club Passim: three shows 12/16, 12/17 and 12/18.

This year Wintery Songs welcomes the wicked fabulous cellist Valerie Thompson back to our project to form a scintillating cello section with Casey Murray! Our fiddle section features the brilliant Jenna Moynihan and effervescent Kat Wallace, who will float gracefully between fiddling and singing with me and Rose.

OH, the places we'll go...

SOLO GIGS: two of them in early 2026 - a songwritersintheround reunion with Barbara Kessler and Diane Ziegler Jan 9 in Belmont, MA and a humdinger of a show with the entire Three Mile Songwriting Retreat folks Feb 22 and 23 at Passim.

More news on settling into Vinalhaven, ME life - sometimes solitary, often social, always beauteous - coming soon. In the meantime, stay strong, pay attention to the news, make art, be generous, nurture community and take care of yourselves while we head for the longest night of the year.
